We at First Presbyterian believe deeply that having fellowship with other believers is the cornerstone of an Church.
Besides our regular fellowship opportunities such as our worship service and Wednesday night supper,
we hold special events throughout the year to celebrate our bonds of faith and friendship. Some are:
5th Sundays Together
On every 5th Sunday of a month, (unless otherwise notified) we have a covered dish supper
and have a time of worship, songs, games and fellowship.
Church Wide Picnic
Each Spring or fall, we gather together for a time of food, games and fellowship.
The picnic is typically held at Chehaw Park.
Easter Egg Hunt
Each year we have a special day for the children of our church.
This is an opportunityto hear the sounds of joy
and laughter the can only come from excited children.
Bid & Boil
We are pleased to again host our 4th annual Bid & Boil on October 22 at Thronateeska at 6:00 pm.
Please plan to attend this event, which is open to all friends of First Presbyterian, to support
our church’s mission in downtown Albany. Tickets are $25 per person, and you can reserve a table for 8 for $200.
The evening will include live music, a low country boil, silent auction, and live auction.
Please see Jud Savelle to donate an item to our auction, and please see
Veronica Johnson or any member of the finance committee for tickets.
Trunk or Treat
Each year we enjoy seeing our children as they come to our trunks for treats!
Members of First Presbyterian and First United Methodist come together to give our
children and those in the downtown area a chance for a safe, fun-filled event.
